MIROIR MIROIR OPENS ON 17 OCTOBER: WELCOME!

The Biennale de l’Image Possible (BIP) is delighted to invite you to the OPENING of MIROIR MIROIR, its 14th edition, which will take place on Saturday 17 October at the former Chiroux library in Liège.

The Biennale de l’Image Possible (BIP) is an international arts event based in Liège, which explores the nature of contemporary images and the relationships we have with them. Launched in 1997, it explores the heterogeneity and fluidity of the various forms of the contemporary image, particularly photography, in response to the issues affecting the world and society.

From 17 Oct to 13 Dec 2026, BIP2026 – MIROIR MIROIR

invites us to view the images that surround us as reflections of ourselves – both faithful and deceptive, true and manipulative. For its 14th edition, the Biennale de l’Image Possible explores the portrait, perspectives on the self and the other, and the image of the world as a complex and ambiguous truth – sometimes deceptive, yet one we cannot do without if we are to live together.

At the Chiroux complex in Liège and the surrounding area, exhibitions, activities, talks, performances and workshops invite you to a major event centred on photography and the visual arts.
